Pray for my friend Claire

My friend, Claire D, is having a pretty serious surgery this morning.  Please keep her and her family in your prayers today.

Thanks

Claire made it through surgery OK, and is in recovery.

I'm in Durham, headed home tomorrow. But will detour through EC to visit with them.

Got to talk with her Sunday evening and pray with her from CA. She's got a super strong faith in the Lord.

Thank you Andy! She's doing okay, still pretty out of it (probably a good thing considering). They think they got all of the tumor and her doctor told us they will probably start chemo in about a month as long as she recovers well. They found nodules on her ovaries so they went ahead and took them out. They're testing them to see if they are cancerous. We're all pretty exhausted especially Dad (Tommy). Please pray for him as well, those hospital chairs are pretty uncomfortable and he's refusing to leave his sweetheart's side. But who could blame him. Thank you all for your prayers. My parents and sister are so blessed to have you all.
God Bless!
Love, Leslie

I know Tommy's spent his fair share in those hospital chairs, but if he needs some advice on sleeping, I can help... :)

Thanks for the update. We will keep on praying. You are right those chairs are uncomfortable. There is nothing quite like a night's sleep in a pleather chair.

A nurse managed to get Dad a bed last night. Dad said it was "a lot" better than those chairs and was able to get some decent sleep. They're putting Mom on a pain pump and removing her stints from the surgery today. Her back is really hurting her and they think the stints might be the cause. I'm not sure why they didn't take the stints out at the end of the surgery but then again I'm not a doctor. It will probably be a rough week for her and the months that lie ahead won't be a picnic either but we know this is the beginning of her healing and getting her life back. I have to keep reminding myself that while it is difficult to see her like this, things could be much worse and I thank God she's still with us. Thanks so much for everyone's prayers!
Sorry for the long comment!
Love, Leslie

She acutually looked really good today considering she's just had surgery.
