This summer I'm planning on inviting some of our older high school guys to participate in a Bible study with me. A 6 week study on Respect, Responsibility and Righteousness. They will be required to do a daily quiet time during the 6 week period and to fast from something they really like. I'll see if they got the stuffs to take on the boot camp.

You did something like that a long time ago and I gave up country music for my 6 weeks... that was tough. LOL!
yea but I bet you were happier not listening to some hick whine about his wife leavin him and his dog dying. :)
Sounds like a good plan. My husband and I volunteer with the teens in our church. What "curriculum" are you using, or are you writing your own? Will you share? We've got a lot of guys, but not a lot of spiritual maturity (or desire to grow).

I'm writing it and am willing to share.
Sign Alex up...does he get to bunk in with you for the 6 weeks so you can be the drill sergeant?
Sounds great Andy, can you reinstate the draft. :)
That's a great idea! We have two senior boys who have started a Monday night Bible study. One of them even comes early and sticks some taquitos or something in the oven for snacks. They are really leading out, and it's great to see them stepping up to the plate. (no pun intended) We have an active youth ministry, but they just did this on their own. I'm very proud of them.
So your big bro saw Andy Griffith? Are you jealous?
if you can get Josh to fast from video games that would truly be a miracle - I am with Debbie on the draft thing
Dontcha think your big brother qualifies for a "citizens arrest! citizens arrest!" for his blatant disregard for your feelings? heehee
1,000 points for the first one who can tell me which episode that line came from.
Can't remember the episode number. But it was the episode where Barney ticketed Gomer for doing an illegal U turn in front of the court house. Gomer later returned the "favor" to Barney.
Ding Ding Ding Ding! Andy wins 1,000 points!
It is one of my favorites.
What is one of your favs?
Thanks, Andy. You can email the material to me at jodiclark@iowatelecom.net. We appreciate your willingness to share.
