Miracles?

We sometimes get so used to everyday life and get so busy we often miss the miracles around us.
Tricia's life is a miracle.  Gwyneth is a miracle.  Nathan marrying a pretty wife is a miracle.  Life is packed full of miracles.  Open your eyeballs and see if you can spot some miracles happening around you.

The biggest miracle in my life is that an eternal, all powerful God, the One that created the universe, loved me, a sinner (I know that is shocking but I am a sinner, I fall short of the mark), and sent his only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for me.

The second miracle in my life is the fact that God saw fit to give me my beautiful bride.  Seriously look at me and then look at my wife and you will see that God is a God of miracles.

The third miracle is that God gave me a son, and he's the best.

Ahhh, miracles.
My whole life is a miracle. It is a miracle that I can even walk upright after being raised by two alcoholic very dysfunctional parents in a home void of Jesus. But God is a God of miracles. He brought my best friend, (my husband) and I together and led us straight to Himself so that together we can raise our children in a Godly home. Miracle! Three beautiful children that I never thought I could have because of some medical issues. MIRACLES! He also brought us Ismene and Ismarie...the two little girls we are adopting from Haiti. It is a miracle that here in the midwest a young-ish couple who thought we had our lives all planned out were given an awakening and led to a country 600 miles off the coast of Florida where we would meet our two other daughters. A MIRACLE! And yes, it is a miracle that He loved US enough to send His only son to save us from our sins. And the biggest iracle of that is htat even if we had been the only two people on Earth, He still would have done it. Because He loves us that much.
Do all of you out there KNOW THAT YOU KNOW THAT YOU KNOW that He loves YOU that much too???

O.K......you asked for it.

First off, It is a miracle that I have been blessed with the best Wife in the whole world. For the past 30years +, she has been my friend and best bud. Also she is the bomb,( I can say that here, right? )

Another miracle is that I have 4 great children, that all 4 do a better job of living their lives in Christ than I do.

And my aforementioned wife just recently bought me a new Harley, It was a miracle I was able to get the used one to the dealer, and the new one home, without dropping either one from the trailer. I did say a prayer on the way to the dealership, and back home. God answered that prayer.

But the best miracle I can really speak to is the awesome power of God to use Nathan's story to bring me to tears and my knees, to speak to me and cause me to survey my life, my relationship with him, and ponder where do I go from here?

What an awesome God.

this post reminds me of one of my favorite non-Biblical quotes from one of my favorite non-Biblical people; albert einstein said, "there are two ways to live your life: one as though nothing is a miracle, the other as though everything is a miracle."

Scott Lawrenson said...

I doubt Albert Einstein said this, but someone smart once said to a man, "if you are going to get married, make sure you are the ugly one".

Obviously this was Scott's line of thinking as well.

I'm a Nate, Tricia and Gwyneth groupie...stopped by a few times to see what crazy Uncle Andy is like.

Miracles....alllll around us, we just have to open our eyes to see them, and stop looking at ourselves and what we "need".

My biggest miracle is God calling me to be His daughter.
And my biggest answer to my prayers is when I heard my husband pray, asking for Jesus to be his Savior.

And the rest, let's just say is miracle after miracle of Jesus answering prayers in HIS time and looking like He chooses, and not me. (praise God!!!)

Miracles. Every day of my son's life was a miracle. Every breath that he took every surgery that he survived. Even the way that he passed away was a miracle. He was surrounded by love and that is what we prayed for.

Every day of my life is a miracle. That I am able to go on and be a mother to my other children who are miracles in themselves. Every day I wake up I see miracles around me. Some days I have to look harder than others but, they are there.

It is a miracle that I was able to live through what I have and I still trust the Lord with my life and the way that he sees fit that I live it. Whether trials, tribulation or joy. I will take it and know that He will be there with me. He will hold my hand and help me through.

Good Post, Thanks!

Bobbie
