And the Chris Brown video... YIKES. Makes me feel really great about the world my almost 12, and almost 8 year old daughters are in. To say nothing of the role model being set for my boys, age 10 4, and almost 3. THANK GOD we can be in the world and not of it.

I saw that coming with the Cyrus girl. Just another Brittany in the making.

The other day my wife and I walked by Victoria secret and made the comment that "this whole 'Pink' campaign is just to create apparel to hook middle school girls, who normally wouldn't be interested in Victoria Secret's stuff."

Marketing, advertising, media. . .they're all smart. They know that parents out there aren't doing their job and so they go after the kids while they're young so by the time they hit high school they are already into all kinds of mess; but they're buying their products.

Pretty sad and scary. Our culture is killing our kids while their parents are in la la land.

Isn't this a little intolerant of a 15 year old girl. You really can't put anybody on a pedastool and not expect them to fall down. Until you are in a position such as hers I don't think that stones should be cast. I do think that all of her stuff should be previewed like the others regardless of who or what you think it is. You can't be too careful with children nowadays. But let's admit she did apologize and tried to make amends. I didn't see Britney do any of that. Also the media loves to see stars fall because we watch it like vultures.

I think that's a huge part of what's wrong.

Why can't a 15 year old girl just be...a 15 year old girl? These kids are turned into superstars (by adults) and lose their adolescence and their innocence as well.

All for what? "The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil."

It would be interesting to see the statistics on the child "stars" and see how many end up with a messed up or destroyed life and how many did well.

Gloria Estefan was young when she hit it big but she says she didn't go off because she didn't grow up as a child under the lights. She said because she had a normal childhood that helped her keep from messing up her life. (not direct quotes but a summary of what she said on Fox & Friends)

Hey, just wanted to thank you for your comment, even though you're outnumbered (don't let that stop you). :) I'm so glad that you mentioned the garlics that you never noticed a difference between them. Have a good day!

I saw that you commented at kitchenscrapbook.com and you wondered if you're the only male commenting. I have seen another guy comment on there before. His name is Drew Kime and he has his own site, similar to kitchenscrapbook, and I love his site almost as much as Kay's.
I don't know either Drew or Kay but have just stumbled onto their sites and love them both.

I just thought I'd let you know there are other men commenting and enjoy cooking. Check out Drew's site at blog.cooklikeyourgrandmother.com
