This is a ministry that I have been praying about getting started at NHC, Life Hurts, God Heals.
I think it would be a huge outreach to the community.
It would take a team of emotionally healthy adults with a passion to reach hurting kids.
Anyone? Anyone? Bueler?
I live with hurting kids all the time - count me in.
Underneath the stuff that we see on the outside, anger, depression, drug abuse, etc., is some very real trauma, whether real or perceived, that needs healing. In my experience, most of these kids are in the throws of the grief cycle. Unfortunately this cycle may continue for many years unless someone, anyone, steps up and loves them through it.
Please, Andy, continue to pray for this incredible ministry as I do.
I do love children. I would be interested in how to help. I want to be prepared. My first reaction is of course, to point them to Christ.
