Our goal was to leave the hospital at 4 but then Nathan made us an offer we couldn't refuse.  Wait till 5 and get to meet Gwenyth face to face.  How could we say no?

The smallest baby I've ever seen in person.  She is hooked up to monitors and a ventilator but she is beautiful.   I have never seen a diaper that small before, amazing.

We got to scrub up and put on the gown and gloves and spend some time with her.  Nathan asked me if I wanted to reach into the incubator but I said "no".  She's too tiny for me too touch.

We left at 5:30, made a stop at Sonic in Rocky Mount (try the iced coffee its really good) and fueled up and hit it.  We would have been home sooner if a kind State Trooper had not pulled me over to give me a warning ticket for a headlight that went out last night. :)

Ty was happy to see us.  Again we thank the Lees for taking care of Ty for us overnight.  This was a big step for Misha, but we knew we needed to be at Duke today.  Next she might let Ty drive the car.  He is now tucked in and fast asleep.  And that is where I'm heading.

Heading Home

Next to Ty's birth this is probably the most emotionally stressing day I've had.

I got to see Gwyneth (on the doctor's phone) she's got hair.   It is amazing how quick things went but seemed in slow motion at the same time.  I'm also very impressed with Duke's concern and care for Tricia.  The manager of ICU sat with my mom and I and talked with us for a half hour during the C-section, that to me was an incredible act of kindness and compassion.  She certainly had much to do and a lot of important things to take care of but she chose to take time to sit with us.

We are leaving Duke in about a half hour to head back to the beach and pick up Ty from the Lee's.  Thanks Lees!  We look forward to being home with our boy.  It's super cool to see the "daddy bracelet" on Nate's wrist.  I look forward to coming back soon and seeing Gwyneth live and in person.

Please continue to pray for all three.  God is using them to impact thousands of lives.  I'm praying for God to be glorified through all of this.  

Tricia has got to be the toughest and strongest person I know.  As I spent time with her last night and watched her labor to breathe I realized how tough she is.  Both Nate and Tricia have an incredible faith, faith that is way beyond their years.  They have yet to doubt God's word.  They have displayed obedience and faith even in the face of danger.  

The journey is not over so please keep them in your prayers.

75 personnel on the medical team in the OR during the surgery and c-section.  Amazing!

Tricia's back in ICU

All I know right now is that Tricia is back in ICU stabalizing.

It's 2:06, updated status on baby will come when we know something.

It is 1:24.  They are performing an emergency C-section right now.  That's all we know at the moment.

Waiting room update

They just moved Tricia to OR.  So things are under way.  If you see this it is now 12pm, please pray the next several hours are critical.

More Waiting

The procedure is in a holding pattern.  The OR room that was planned had an emergency surgery case come in.  So Tricia is in a holding pattern while they either wait for that room to empty or for a new room to get prepped and set for her.

Waiting is hard.  We want things done quick.  Patience is not easy.

Misha and I stayed last night at the hotel with Rick and Gail and the Kirschners.  This AM we packed up and came to the hospital for the day.  

We all just circled up around Tricia and had a time of prayer for Tricia and the baby.  Now we wait.  I'm glad I can wait here at the hospital rather than at home that makes the waiting easier.  

Please pray at 10:30 as Tricia will be in surgery.  

We are at Duke

Misha and I dropped off Ty at the Lee's .  He's camping out at there house overnight.  Thanks Lees!

As soon as we arrived we got to go in and see Tricia.  I'm glad we go to spend a few minutes with her tonight.  We will hang out here tomorrow for a while before heading home tomorrow afternoon.

Pray for Tricia tomorrow at 10:30 she will be going through the process of getting on a ventilator.  

I'm just amazed by all the people praying around the world.   God is doing something amazing.

I just got news about Tricia and the baby.  If you have been following their story and praying for their family I ask that you pray today.  They are going to deliver the baby this afternoon or tomorrow by C section.  The risk is very high.

Pray for Tricia, Nate and the baby, their family and also the medical team.
